I tested it with different desktops. The results are: Gnome Shell: it happens even when the window is not maximized. It also happens for maximized window. Unity 2D: same as Gnome Shell. And the interesting part is: Gnome Classic: The problem does not happen! There is no problem in normal window, nor for maximized window.
The screenshots are attached in a single zip file. ** Attachment added: "The zip file contains screenshots of the problem in different desktops in Ubuntu 12.04" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/1019169/+attachment/3208722/+files/Problem_in_different_desktops.zip -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to evince in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1019169 Title: Long titles do not show properly in title bar, when a window is maximized Status in Compiz: Incomplete Status in “compiz” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Status in “evince” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: When a window with long title is maximized, it tries to show the whole title in more than one line, which results to impropper displaying of it.
