Has this been fixed in Ubuntu 12.04? In the change log I read:
NetworkManager-0.9.4 * Support for checking Internet connectivity has been added ** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to network-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/278488 Title: When connected to two networks, one local, NetworkManager does not configure networking so as to provide Internet access Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Binary package hint: network-manager As in description. My DSL currently does not work, so the access my wireless network provides in local-only. NM 0.7 (via ppa) is unable to discriminate the two statuses. Release used: Hardy .1 Desired behaviour: as in Windows, where the connection manager is able to determine if the connection is local only or not.
