For some reason I thought that you said the problem affected wired
interfaces too, but on re-reading the report I don't see any reference
to wired interfaces, so retitled to correct my mistake and mention the
driver used. Reassigned to linux since it's probably a driver bug.

** Summary changed:

- NM doesn't autoconnect either wired or wireless interfaces at boot;
suspend/resume fixes it -- Broadcom
+ NM doesn't autoconnect wireless interfaces at boot; suspend/resume fixes it
-- Broadcom BCM4313 brcmsmac

** Package changed: network-manager (Ubuntu) => linux (Ubuntu)

Bug description:
  Ubuntu 11.04; Linux 2.6.38-10-generic #46-Ubuntu SMP i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
  Dell Inspiron 7010N Laptop with Broadcom wireless adapter
  network-manager 0.8.4~git.20110319t175609.d14809b-0ubuntu3

  After starting computer, no wireless networks are detected or
  connected. However, the default wireless network is always connected
  immediately after resuming from suspend.

  The network indicator items "Enable Wireless" and "Enable Networking" are
checked at all times.
