Drag and Drop in Nautilus requires multiple clicks

Bug description:
Nautilus allows a user to drag & drop files only into the directories shown
in the left pane. If a user wants to drop the files into sub-directories, it
requires multiple clicks & selects
      1) Click & select the files to move/copy
      2) Now right-click & choose "Copy"
      3) Click on top-level directory in left pane
      4) Again, double-click (by default) on sub-directory to open
....... repeat down the heirarchy ........
      5) Now right-click in required sub-directory
      6) Finally, move down the menu and choose paste (or goto keyboard &
Ctrl-V)

As opposed to this, the windows method of sub-dirs opening up as you
hover over with left-button down, allows user to quickly navigate
down. Can we get Nautilus to adopt either this or some such behaviour
that reduces the no of clicks?
