Title: software-center crashed with DatabaseModifiedError in get_query_list_from_search_entry(): The revision being read has been discarded - you should call Xapian::Database::reopen() and retry the operation Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Had installed gdebi, gufw,driconf, syanaptic, from software center without problem. Was at software center mail screen and started to type in imagemagick to search box, and software center became unresponsive. Then apport crash notification. This is a fresh install Quantal Alpha 3, from the daily build of Aug 13, 2012. Had prior to this error message , had notification of gnome settings deamon crash, which has already been reported.
