Well it seems that nautilus wrongly assumes that every linux ext partition must be ext3/4. I'm not sure how exactly it assesses the partition type but it seems buggy in this case. I was also able to confirm it on my system. Anton, I'll forward this report upstream. Thanks for reporting!
