steffen (steffen-b) wrote on 2012-04-27: #3 I had the same problem with my Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g LP-PHY : no wlan and the driver could not be installed with the ubuntu driver manager. For me the following fixed my wlan problems: sudo apt-get purge bcmwl-kernel-source broadcom-sta-common broadcom-sta- source sudo apt-get install b43-fwcutter firmware-b43-installer or sudo apt-get install b43-fwcutter firmware-b43-lpphy-installer restart your ubuntu after the installation, now your wlan should be working.
