Public bug reported:
I restart my PC after the latest round of updates I installed, and I
hear the Ubuntu bongo drums at the login screen, but after logging in,
The sound will work for a few seconds during a movie or some music, then
it gets jittery and dies, never to work again until after a restart.
(thus starting the process over)
