Title:
Network manager does not fully recognize Broadband internet through
  sakis3G

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
My Broadband usb Modem "Huawei E173s-1" which worked under Precise 12.04,
does not want to connect to internet in 12.10 (bug already reported).
Though, I succeeded in connecting to the internet using the binary: sakis3g:
  ----------------------------------
  sudo sakis3g --interactive
  ---------------------------------
  And follow GUI instructions.

Untill now all applications recognize this internet connection except EMPATHY
& Software Center & Gwibber. (Probably others)
When I try to use Software Center, it tells there is no Internet connection
and I am not able to install software from it.
Same thing for Empathy, it does not connect.

Indicators like indicator-weather or indictaor-dropbox connects just
  fine.
