** Description changed:

When trying to connect to almost any wireless network, it never connects, the
indicator just keeps moving until it says Disconnected a minute or so later.
This happens 100% of the time with all encryped networks, and 99% of the time
with unencrypted networks. I have so far have not been able to connect to an
encrypted network, only unencrypted after several tries.
- The very rare case when it does actually manage to connect (this is usually
after trying to connect for an hour or so, many times beforehand, switching
on/off the wireless with the hardware switch), it actually stays connected
until you manually disconnect, and is also quite stable (downloads and PPTP
connections work with no problem).

Title:
  Wireless not connecting, disconnecting

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
When trying to connect to almost any wireless network, it never connects, the
indicator just keeps moving until it says Disconnected a minute or so later.
This happens 100% of the time with all encryped networks, and 99% of the time

encrypted network, only unencrypted after several tries.
The very rare case when it does actually manage to connect (this is usually

on/off the wireless with the hardware switch), it actually stays connected

connections work with no problem).

Attached is a snippet of the old syslog from a few days ago when I was
trying to connect, the current syslog doesn't have any relevant info
as I am not near a wireless network currently. I will be in a position
to do further testing tomorrow, if needed.
