** This bug is no longer a duplicate of bug 1027638 nm-applet doesn't show connection/devices on startup ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 965895 After boot, NetworkManager indicator menu only shows four entries -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to network-manager-applet in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1039670 Title: nm-applet doesn't show available connections Status in “network-manager-applet” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) up-to-date * Tested with a netbook (32 bit) with WiFi connection * Tested with a desktop (64 bit) with VPN connections. After login, nm-applet doesn't show the wifi connections (on netbook) or the VPN connections (on desktop). * For the netbook, WiFi connections appear after waiting some minutes. * For the desktop, I need to logout and login to see the VPN submenu. Another (obvious) solution is sudo service network-manager stop sudo service network-manager start No trouble with network connections, only with nm-applet submenues.
