Empathy uses UOA for accounts configuration, not GOA. Empathy is capable of seeing accounts from GOA, but it will launch the UOA dialog. Not something we can easily solve.
This is a rather complicated situation, you can read a good explanation at http://jeremy.bicha.net/2012/10/06/ubuntu-online-accounts-and-gnome/ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1060060 Title: Unable to modify empathy accounts in gnome-online-accounts Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Using gnome-shell, I want to modify empathy accounts, so I click on "accounts" in empathy main menu, and nothing happens. However, if I go to the gnome-online-accounts settings and add an account, it sucessfully appears in Empathy. So I guess Empathy "accounts" main menu entry should simply display goa settings in the control center. PS: I'm using ubuntu-gnome-desktop, so I don't use ubuntu-online- accounts.
