Hi again Daniel,  I just wanted to let you know that I was able to 
unmute headphone jack sense so it doesn't say off anymore and the issue 
is still there.

Bug description:
  Hi, I have a soundmax 5.1 digital integrated soundcard in my Dell
  Dimension 8400 It's being recognized as Intel ICH6 in Ubuntu, but
  doesn't have any sound.   I've tried all the various settings in
  forums and related alsa back to original config before trying to
  contact you.
