Title:
fglrx (not installed): fglrx kernel module failed to build

Status in “fglrx-installer” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Using AMD's proprietary catalyst driver (12.6) from their site for my card
(HD 4850), I cannot successfully build the dkms module (I think) via any
method. I tried the normal catalyst install gui with automatic install,
custom, tried building the packages via the gui, and lastly, followed this
guide to try to make it work:

http://askubuntu.com/questions/124292/what-is-the-correct-way-to-install-ati-catalyst-video-drivers
(yes I do realized this is for 12.04, but it's all I had to go on...)

I get this as output while installing the resulting
fglrx_8.970-0ubuntu1_amd64.deb file
  Loading new fglrx-8.970 DKMS files...
  First Installation: checking all kernels...

The content of the make.log is the following:

I was told that I may not be able to have 12.6 install in quantal, but
I tried, and I'm willing to keep trying. I would just use the
opensource drivers if they weren't terrible for games and videos, but
they are. If anyone can give me guidance, or help me help everyone
(cause I know I'm not the only one) figure this out, I'm willing to do
some work to make that happen.
