Do I need to install something to get this running?

Title:
413c:2003 USB keyboard frequently stops working

Status in “xserver-xorg-input-evdev” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
My USB keyboard randomly stops working in Ubuntu 12.10. Physically
detaching then reattaching causes it to work again for a time. There
doesn't seem to be a consistent time to when it stops working.

Testing on Windows 7 doesn't give any such problems so the hardware
  seems to be fine.
