** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 1066934 'progress' displays on startup -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to software-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1069069 Title: Ubuntu Software Center shows progress button on start Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Ubuntu Software Center shows progress button on start even if nothing is happening. However, if an update or installation/package removal is happening when software-center is opened, the buttons starts responding (shows the status) and after the apt procedure ends it just disappears as it should. It really is not much of a problem but it is at least an inconsistency in the environment.
