Title:
Custom messages cannot be edited in Empathy.

Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Launch Empathy after adding an account > Click 'Available' > Select
'(Away symbol) Custom message...' > Type your message > Click the
drop down arrow > select 'Edit Custom messages...'

Then, I just get a blank window, no custom messages are there.

Ubuntu 11.10, GNOME 3, Cinnamon desktop shell,

Also, I notice that when a new notification happens, the empathy tray
icon blinks. When that happens, an 'icon missing' symbol appears. (in
  the Cinnamon panel)
