Title:
Touchpad became unusble after upgrade to Quantal

Status in “xserver-xorg-input-synaptics” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
After upgrade to Quantal touchpad became unusable. The mouse pointer
hardly moves. If two-finger scrolling is enabled it will often scroll
instead of moving the pointer. Scrolling using edge scrolling, tapping
and the buttons seem to work just fine. I had a similar problem the
last time I upgraded this computer, but it somehow magically fixed
itself after a couple of days, see bug #996592 for more info
