Title: Very slow composition with ATI 9100 IGP and Quantal Status in “xserver-xorg-video-ati” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: After a clean Quantal installation in a Toshiba A75-S229 notebook, Unity runs VERY VERY slow, including several seconds to just draw a warning box or the shutdown box. CPU burns-out to 100% (And the multithread secondary cpu got overloaded too). Any DM that uses Composition show this issue. Tested with Cinnamon. Cinnamon2d just dont run and keep as Cinnamon 3D. A workarround (Not well a workarround but a "Way to survive") is run Cinnamon and in a gnome-terminal run "metacity --replace&", but this kill Every window management, forcing me to use the terminal to launch applications. Tryed Quantal version of Xorg and now testing without success xorg- edgers versions. The fglrx driver existent in ppas and oficial repo dont support this board, since the last catalyst driver supporting it v8.
