Hi, I'm also having this problem but it doesn't fit b3bnmores scenarios. Using Ubuntu 11.10, eVince 3.2.1
1. every time a pdf is opened it is on left of screen and close to top and it's vertical size is about 50% of screen. 2. I always have to drag screen to right and down and then resize the window. 3. I 've tried menu EDIT | Use Current Settings as default but it makes no difference, the window always opens in the same place. This is case whether I reopen the pdf I was using when I clicked before mentioned menu or if I open a new pdf. I cannot find any other options for setting default screen size. 4. If I open several pdfs each new one is lower by height of the title bar. It would be nice if windows opened with fontsize large enough to be readable, 100% of original or perhaps smaller to fit page size on screen. What happens: The document opens in a small window in the corner of the screen. What should happen: The document opens in a window large enough to read in the center of the screen.
