I have 19.01a running now. I selected all folders and did a Folder Compact. My .thunderbird folder went from 55G to 4.2GB after 20 minutes of running. So thats good, and for the first time ever thunderbird said "No messages to be downloaded" and the progress bar isn't doing anything (until of course a message arrives).
