The only way I have been able to get a user to not show up in the user list has been to set the uid < 1000. This is a horrible hack and not viable. lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 12.10 Release: 12.10 gdm: Installed: 3.6.1-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 3.6.1-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 3.6.1-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ quantal/universe amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gdm/+bug/1072838/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
