Public bug reported: Launch Base, select use existing database. Main window opens. Menu is not available in menu bar. Tried F10 and alt keys to see if menus would appear. Would not.
Have Chrome 23.0.1271.64 opened maximized in *background*. SINGLE CLICK on menu bar and bar changes from having LibreOffice Base at left end to Chrome. Menu selections are available they are Chrome menu options and Chrome is now in foreground. Unmaximize Chrome and Base menu still unavailable however clicking menu bar does not result in switching to Chrome. Tables, queries, forms, opened from Base main windows DO have menus. In attached screenshot note that Base is maximized, mouse is over menu bar and there is no menu displayed.
