This is a bug 946232 duplicate essentially. Annoyingly, I recently did a long overdue PulseAudio SRU upload which is waiting for approval by the SRU team, but this machine is not in that list... It is fixed in Quantal, and will also be fixed in Precise if 1) you have the PulseAudio that's currently waiting for approval and 2) a Quantal kernel
