I tested this in Linux Mint 14 with Cinnamon and Inscape's graphical
interface opens faster.

  Inkscape opens very slow maximized

Bug description:
  I marked in settings that Inkscape should remember the latest window
  state.

  If I open Inkscape in maximized mode, it opens very slow. I can always
  reproduce this.
