The issue has already been solved ( before this bug report :P ) in version 
6.6.1 and above.. (Or version 3.7.1 or above in renamed package 
gnome-calculator).

  gcalctool does not report an error on expression like "3......+4"

Bug description:
  To reproduce the problem:
  1. Enter 3......+4 in gcalctool, either by keyboard input or pressing the 
button (3,dot,dot,dot,dot,dot,dot,+,4).
  2. Press "=" or <Enter>
  3. Nothing happens. It neither produce a value, nor report about a "Malformed 
expression". The expression "3......+4" just stays there.
