However, Ubuntu is not recognizing it as such and on the sound configuration we can only see the stereo parameters (right and left). As you can see in the attached picture, the rear and subwoofer parameters are grayed out, as if the card didn't support it. I have connected it to a 5.1 amplifier and played a DTS suround file. Unfortunately the sound coming out is simply stereo. No 5.1 surround.
