You have been subscribed to a public bug: I upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04 from 11.10 about a week ago and have been experiencing crashes for no reason that reset to login screen.
I have a i7 2.4 GHz HP Elite tower with 8 GB RAM and am using a Acer AL1715 monitor and two 1 TB HDs. Sometimes the crashes happen when I am using graphics programs like Google Maps in Chrome, but sometimes just suddenly without warning when I am using LibreOfffice Writer or Cal or Adobe pdf or Skype...in other words without just about any programme. I leave the computer on all the time and it does appear to crash when it is idle. I don't think there is a exact tiem between crashes but they seem to happen about every two or three hours. ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: bot-comment -- Ubuntu 12.04 crashes at irregular intervals https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1003803 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
