Jeremy, I could certainly open a new bug report. However, I cannot understand why this should be necessary, since I am experiencing exactly the same behaviour in Ubuntu 11.10 that the original poster seems to have been having in 10.10. When I run gnome sudoku from the command line instead of from the GUI, I get exactly the same error messages - something like:
WARNING: Not able to provide 1 puzzles in levels ['very hard'] WARNING: Generate more puzzles if you really need this many puzzles! WARNING: Repeating puzzle for difficulty very hard -- generate more puzzles to avoid this. It seems to me, therefore, that this is the same bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-games in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/666887 Title: suduko missing generate puzzles option Status in “gnome-games” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: Binary package hint: gnome-games The gnome-suduko program used to have an option to generate additional puzzles. But in 10.10 it is missing. If you run it from the command line instead of the GUI, you'll see an error message like the following: WARNING: Not able to provide 1 puzzles in levels ['very hard'] WARNING: Generate more puzzles if you really need this many puzzles! WARNING: Repeating puzzle for difficulty very hard -- generate more puzzles to avoid this.
