  Choosing "Guest Session" makes screen flicker indefinitely

Status in “xorg” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  1. Start up into Ubuntu.
  2. Log in to a normal account.
  3. From the system menu, choose "Guest Session".

  What happens:
  1. Ubuntu starts up correctly.
  2. The login screen and Ubuntu session work fine.
  3. The screen goes black for about 30 seconds.
  4. The screen flickers wildly, alternating between colored static and a 
freeze frame of the Ubuntu session with the system menu open.
