You have been subscribed to a public bug:

I need the reverse mouse wheel direction (It means natural scrolling
like Mac OS X and the touch Pad and so on.), because I have a touch
scroll mouse.

I found that this method can achieve some of my thoughts.
I use .Xmodmap and I can
    ! Note that 4 5 and 6 7 are reversed to behave like a table. #
ubuntu-tweak also have this feature setting and do like this
    xinput set-button-map 12 1 2 3 5 4 7 6 8 9 10 11 12

So I found this method can be make the browsers(firefox,Chrome..) use
natural scrolling ,this is exactly what I want.

but, then found in other almost apps(nautilus,system-settings, ubuntu-
software-center, and so on) still the original scrolling direction ,
that apps don't appears natural scrolling.

I have three question need to solve:

Why the xinput settings can be valid in the browser apps ,but be invalid in
others apps ???
How to solve that can use reverse mouse direction (natural scrolling) in any
where ???
Why this feature not in Ubuntu system's self settings ???
