1. Switch to a guest session.
2. Launch Ubuntu Software Center.
3. In the screen for a purchasable item, click "Buy...".
What you see: A form with a "Continue" button, "or go back to Ubuntu
Software Center".
What's wrong with this: You didn't leave Ubuntu Software Center, so
how could you go back to it?
What you should see: A "Cancel" button.
