Sorry again for the long time of this report without attention, we are
sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported
bugs in a timely manner. I've linked an upstream bug that seems to take
care of this type of problem. In any case screensaving procedures have
changed a lot in Gnome.

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: totem

  Even though I'm just playing audio files and have set Preferences >
  Display > Disable screensaver when playing: Video, totem prevents my
  screensaver & power management settings for display to come active.

  Steps to reproduce. Set screensaver for 1 min and power management
  sleep to 5 minutes. Start playing audio with above stated config and
  wait for +5 minutes. You can notice that the screen is still on.
