Title:
  file://foo always goes to the root dir

Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: firefox

  In firefox if file://anythingatall is typed into the address bar the
  root directory is shown.

  To see for yourself:

   * Open firefox
   * Type file:// into the address bar followed by anything you want.
   * Press enter or click the little arrow to the right of the address bar.
   * Observe you root directory in all its rooty goodness.

  I've tested this in Edgy Firefox 2.0.0.1, so I can't vouch for any
  other versions.

  Matt
