Title:
  Dual Monitor Background Support

Status in GNOME Control Center:
  Won't Fix
Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

I request an enhancement, maybe the Ubuntu devs can work on, since the
Gnome devs haven't in 4+ years. Hopefully this will be easier with
  the new Xserver.

When using more than one monitor, I would like the ability to set a
desktop-background per monitor. As it is now, I select a background
  and it effects all displays.

The upstream bug is filed at:
  http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=147808

  Thanks!
