If I want to attach a file which is on a network (windows) drive on another computer, the file attachment dialog in thunderbird does not show the drive. I have to go to the location bar and manually type {home}/.gvfs to show the drive. This happens even if the gnome "Places" menu is showing the network drive and so are other apps (like OpenOffice). This happens despite thunderbird-gnome-support being installed. Cannot figure out why and as far as I can remember previous versions on Ubuntu/Thunderbird did not have this problem.
