Title:
Adjusting Balance and Fade lowers volume

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed
Status in “pulseaudio” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: pulseaudio

When I adjust Balance or Fade with gnome-volume-control, it lowers
  volume.

When I put volume back, it resets the Fade and Balance.

Fade and Balance somehow connected to each other.

  See attached screencast (out.ogv).

The same is happening when using "Analog Stereo Output" profile for my
  card.
