You seem to be using xorg-edgers, mind reverting back to raring packages and trying again?
** Package changed: xorg (Ubuntu) => xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1140513 Title: X doesn't initialize displays properly on sandybridge when 3 screens connected Status in “xserver-xorg-video-intel” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Bit of an odd one -- this started happening when I was using the oibaf repo, but I switched back to regular Quantual repos and it kept happening, so: Intel Sandybridge motherboards generally have 3 display outputs (VGA, DVI, and HDMI), but they can only drive two simultaneously. I have a display plugged into all three (two desk monitors in VGA and DVI, and a projector in HDMI), and Ubuntu's Displays application is generally very good about letting me switch between any combination of two (e.g. by disabling one of the two I have enabled, then enabling the third). The exception is at boot time, when (with some irregularity, but at least two times out of three) X seemingly tries to initialize all three displays, with one of them winding up running at something like 37Hz and either displaying a garbled image or nothing until I disable it and reenable it again, after which everything is fine. Thoughts?
