Oh no, this should've been filed against light-themes, this bug has
slipped out the radar. Can you please test if this still happens in a
newer version of the theme?

Title:
  Gtk.Assistant sidebar is really difficult to see with GTK3 apps

Status in “ubuntu-themes” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  In GTK3 all page titles are shown in a side bar on the left.  The
  title of the currently active page is supposed to be highlighted to
  make it stand out, but this effect doesn't work with the default
  theming in Ubuntu.
