Download a standalone .deb package, such as Opera. http://www.opera.com/browser/download/ 2. Open the package in USC. What you see: Apart from the lack of icon, it looks just like a normal package screen. What you should see: "Its visual design should hint that this is a little less safe than installing a package from a repository.
