Title: Gnome-terminal does not allow to use bash shortcut (M-f) Status in “gnome-terminal” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Checkout bash user manual at http://www.gnu.org/software/bash/manual/bash.html#Searching Gnome-terminal allow to use Alt+b shortcut to move one word back, but does not allow to use Alt+f shortcut to move one word forward. Gnome-terminal uses Alt+f shortcut as command to open the File menu. I know that Alt+letter convenient is a standard, but it definetly should allow to use standard bash shortcuts.
