The problem(s) seem to be fixed for me. No more boot delay, lightdm starts fine, no console appearing... My boot time is under 10 sec. No warning or anaivalable drm in Xorg.0.log... Kind of miraculous :-)
Attached are my logs, in case this matters. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/982889 Title: X trying to start before plymouth has finished using the drm driver Status in “libdrm” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in “lightdm” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in “plymouth” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in “xorg-server” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: X server fails to start the first time after boot, it works fine when I start it again. Looks like a race condition with intel drm initialization, i guess X tries to start faster than drm driver is initialized so it fails.
