The issue is with the gnome3 ppa, not with Ubuntu, reassigning there
(they backported 3.6 from raring including the 13.04 logo)

Title:
  "About this computer" displays wrong version

Status in Ubuntu GNOME:
  New

Bug description:
  If I open "About this computer" is says I have ubuntu 13.04.

  However I'm still having 12.10 (with the latest updates).

  "lsb_release -a" also shows that the version is 12.10 (quantal).
  See attached screenshot.

  Please let me know what other information I could provide to help you
  track this down.
