Everyone who has this problem, can you run

sudo aa-complain cupsd

if you have not yet done so and then do the stuff you wanted to do in
the web interface?

Please tell whether the web interface works for you now and, independent
whether it actually works, attach /var/log/syslog to this bug report.
Thanks.

Title:
CUPS web interface authentication fails in Raring

Status in “cups” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
When I try to modify a printer in http://localhost:631/printers I am
prompted to authenticate as usual, but my username and my password do
  not work.

I have already checked that my user belongs to the lpadmin group.

  However I can use system-config-printer.

I have attached the cups error_log in debug mode (LogLevel debug).
