Title: Dual monitors messed up on restart from latest (April 2013) Ubuntu kernel update Status in “xorg-server” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I updated 12.04 today, and it included some kernel updates and other stuff. Dual monitors become compressed/recentered onto one monitor on reboot. The only workaround seems to be to boot with only one monitor connected and then plug in the second after Ubuntu has completed reboot. Graphics card is an NVidia with dual DVI ports, processors is intel i7 Release is Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS release 12.04 What I expect to happen: Start normal What happens instead: One monitor of dual monitor receives no signal, the other appears to shift its normal display left half a screen, leaving the right half filled with the purple Dalek polka dot Ubuntu pattern.
