The open source driver is even worse.  Fonts appear corrupted, the screen
is unstable, images jump around, unintelligible patterns overlay meaningful
windows,...

The Nvidia 304 drivers are most stable, but not perfect.

  I installed Ubuntu 12.10 several months ago, but LibreOffice was
