Done.

But the terminal window says "Package libreoffice not installed and no
hook available, ignoring".

I am running the absolutely FRESH AND DEFAULT Ubuntu 12.04.02 and
believe me, when I launch LibreOffice Writer, it launches... so no idea
why this message appears.

  LO (4.0.3) hangs when testing mail merge settings in writer

Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I go to the Writer settings, and configure mail merge settings for
  GMail (with imap.gmail.com and smtp.gmail.com) with proper ports and
  SSL enabled.

  Then I click "Test". Then it hangs.

  Bug.
