You have been subscribed to a public bug: Previously using Windows 7 on this hardware last year, used Rosetta Stone language learning application which also had technical issues with audio playback and basic functionality. Ran a System Monitor report yesterday - May 9 2013 - to view processes and discovered that audio- pulse has an abnormally high priority instead of all other running processes which showed normal priority.
The good news is that there are no issues whatsoever while booting, installing and operating the Ubuntu version 12.10. I am very pleased with this operating system and its capabilities and functionalities. The audio works well on Rhythmbox and Movie Player applications, as well as, internet video clips which appear on webpages periodically. ** Affects: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Upgrade to 13.04 version okay, at session close "speech-dispatcher" appears as disabled with apparent BIOS like text. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1178764 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to pulseaudio in Ubuntu. -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
