Fix in #3 worked for me too on an Intel integrated graphis laptop. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to mesa in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1171702
Title: Screen freezes when trying to move icons in Unity's launcher Status in “mesa” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: A recent upgrade of Unity seems to have introduced a crippling bug whereby the screen locks up whenever left-click is held down on an icon in the launcher so that icons can be moved around. The cursor can still move but the rest of the desktop doesn't update, with flickering happening on occasion. Nothing short of forcing a reboot has been able to get around this.
