Title:
  Creative Recon3D + Sound Blaster Z (CA0132) Still Unsupported / Not
  Working (Ubuntu 13.10)

Status in “alsa-driver” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I've been trying to get this sound card (Creative Recon3D) to function
in Linux since the day support for it was formally added for it in the
Linux kernel back in 3.5. I've been trying to get sound from this card
with every single kernel since then with every release of Ubuntu. This
is now Ubuntu 13.10 and I still don't have sound with kernel 3.9 and
latest firmware. No, there is absolutely no sound from ALSA playback
at all. Yes, it is detected by Linux, and I see the modules for CA0132
get loaded, but there is absolutely no sound at all.
